Le département du Val-d'Oise en bref
Val-d'Oise (95), dont la préfecture est Pontoise, fait partie de la région Île-de-France. Avec 20 976 autorisations d'urbanisme délivrées sur 183 communes, soit 11,3 % du volume régional, le département se situe derrière Seine-et-Marne (40 889 dossiers) parmi les départements de sa région.
En 2025, dernière année complète comparable, le volume départemental recule de 8,5 %, contre un recul de 2,9 % à l'échelle régionale.
L'activité est relativement répartie : Argenteuil cumule à elle seule 1 342 dossiers . Cormeilles-en-Parisis et Herblay-sur-Seine complètent le podium. Les 10 premières communes concentrent 28 % des autorisations du département.
Côté construction, 13,2 millions de m² de surface de plancher ont été créés, pour 95 370 logements. Le pic d'activité se situe en 2018 (1 754 autorisations). En 2025, le volume recule de 8,5 % par rapport à l'année complète précédente.
